Take to the Snow with New Generation Ski & Snowboard School

The right kind of tuition can make or break a ski holiday, and it’s something many of our customers check in with us about when researching and booking. New Generation Ski & Snowboard School is an organization we’ve been recommending for a good many seasons now, and we’re keen to share a little insight into the classes and clinics they offer.

You'll find New Generation Ski & Snowboard School, or NewGen for short, in diverse resorts including Avoriaz, Verbier, St Anton, Chamonix, Tignes and more - where learner friendly slopes and steep back country combine to offer challenges for all levels of skier or snowboarder. Here's a little insight into the diverse and exciting courses they offer.

What made you choose the wonderful resorts you work out of?

Some of our Alpine ski resorts are more quaint and traditional, others offer challenging runs for advanced skiers, whilst others have a bustling atmosphere and food scene. However, all of them provide state-of-the-art skiing facilities – perfect for learning how to ski or improving your skills.

What draws your instructors to work for you?

With over 20 years’ experience, we know well what's important to our clients, but also to our team. Members of Team New Gen benefit from the shared knowledge of our wider community across 19 resorts in France, Switzerland & Austria. We also are committed to helping people develop in their roles as instructors as well as provide a fun, friendly and welcoming place to work.

What sets your tuition apart from the rest?

Our tuition is much more than small groups, all in English with fully qualified instructors... Our aim is to inspire, support, and develop. We believe that when you feel supported in a friendly and welcoming environment you learn faster and make bigger gains. And that by using the power of our whole community, we can share ideas, and learn from each other to provide the best experience, and help you realise your full potential.

What kind of group sizes do you operate at?

Our groups are a maximum of 8 per group but will run with just 2. Except for our tiny skiers (ages 4-5) who have a maximum of 6 per group, along with a helper if there are more than 3 in the group. Our clinics, for higher level skiers and boarders who want to workshop their technique are a maximum of 6.

How long are your lessons, typically?

Our adult group lessons run for 2hrs per day, leaving you plenty of time to practice what you've learned and ski with friends and family the rest of the day. Our children's groups run for 4.5hrs in peak weeks and 3hrs in non-peak weeks.

Can you give any insight into how people decide which of your classes is right for them?

Group lessons are great for those who want to learn in a sociable setting, and offer great value for money. Clinics are for those who really want to get into the nitty gritty to improve their technique and tactics. Privates are a great option if you're feeling extra nervous and want some one-on-one attention, or would like a local guide to show you where to find the best snow.

We also have a choose your lesson tool on our website, and if you're note sure what level you are we have some handy level guide videos to help. And if you still feel unsure, get in touch. Our support team is on hand to help year-round.

How do people book your courses?

You can book online via our user-friendly booking system (which works well on mobile too!). Or you can give our UK office a ring at 01462 674 000. We've got a team working year round to help if you have any questions or queries - don't hesitate to get in touch.
