Winners Announced in the World Ski Awards’ Best Ski Resorts and Hotels 2019

 

The annual World Ski Awards took place recently in the prestigious surroundings of the 5* A-ROSA spa resort in Kitzbühel. We saw worthy winners in diverse categories including chalets, tour operators, and travel agencies – with the World Ski Awards’ Best Ski Resorts and Hotels 2019 also revealed.

World's Best Ski Resort 2019

 
Nestled in France’s famous Three Valleys ski area, the high-altitude ski and snowboard destination of Val Thorens took the top spot as the World's Best Ski Resort 2019. Here, visitors enjoy diverse terrain for snow-lovers of all levels, alongside an amazing range of ski in/out accommodation. Lively après ski, snow-sure slopes, and family-friendly facilities complete the picture. 
 
Val Thorens also won the award for France's Best Ski Resort 2019, beating attractive Alpine towns including Chamonix, Courchevel, Méribel, Megève, Serre Chevalier and Val d’Isère to the top spot.

World's Best Freestyle Resort 2019

 
Terrain park-loving freestyle skiers and snowboarders have been flocking to Laax for many a season now, and the resort is a worthy winner in the World's Best Freestyle Resort 2019 category. World's Best Ski Hotel 2019

 
The W Hotel is widely considered Verbier’s most stylish and sophisticated property, and took the top prize as the World's Best Ski Hotel at the World Ski Awards 2019.
