Skiing records in the first Guinness Book

The Guinness Book of records was first published in 1955 after Sir Hugh Beaver, the MD of Guinness at the time, had a heated argument about which was the fastest game bird in Europe. He realised that men must need a book full of facts about the fastest, slowest, biggest, first and so on. He commissioned Ross and Norris McWhirter to compile what would become the Guinness book of records. At home I have a copy of one of the books published in 1955.

Interactive Resorts have been nominated in the Best Travel Agent category in the SnowVole Awards 2012. This is the first time for the award will take place having been launched during the first year of the new ski forum SnowVole.com.
